PORTEC Risk Groups and Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria (References)

PORTEC-based Risk group Criteria
Low risk Any age, Stage IA, grade 1
Age < 60, Stage IA, grade 1 or 2
Low-intermediate risk Any age, Stage IA, grade 2
Age < 60, Stage IA, grade 3 or 4
Age < 60, Stage IB, grade 1 or 2
High-intermediate risk Age >= 60, Stage IA, grade 3 or 4
Age >= 60, Stage IB, grade 1 or 2
High risk Any age, Stage IB, grade 3 or 4

Note: Grade 1, well-differentiated; Grade 2, moderately-differentiated; Grade 3, poorly-differentiated; Grade 4, undifferentiated; PORTEC, Post-Operative Radiation Therapy in Endometrial Cancer. For the purpose of this calculator, Grade 3 includes Grade 3 or 4.


PORTEC2 Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:
- Age > 60 years and Stage IB Grade 1 or 2 disease, or stage IA Grade 3 disease
- Stage I disease with endocervical glandular involvement, any age (except for Grade 3 with > 50% myometrial invasion)
+ Stage IB Grade 3 disease was not allowed on study
- WHO performance score of 0-2

Exclusion Criteria:
- Serous or clear cell carcinoma
- Staging lymphadenectomy
- Interval between surgery and radiotherapy more than 8 weeks
- History of previous malignant disease
- Previous radiotherapy, hormonal therapy, or chemotherapy
- Previous diagnosis of Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis



Adapted GOG99 Risk Groups and Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria (References)

GOG99 pathologic risk factors include:
1. Grade 2 or 3
2. Outer third myometrial invasion
3. Lymphovascular invasion (LVSI)

Adapted GOG99 Risk group Criteria
Low risk Any age, Stage IA, grade 1 or 2, no LVSI
Low-intermediate risk Any age, Stage IB, any grade but NOT meeting high-intermediate criteria
High-intermediate risk Age >= 70 and at least 1 pathologic risk factor
Age >= 50 and at least 2 pathologic risk factors
Any age and all 3 pathologic risk factors
High risk Stage III or IV

Note: Pathologic risk factors include: 1) Grade 2 or 3; 2) Outer third myometrial invasion; 3) Lymphovascular invasion (LVSI). Increasing age is also risk factor. These factors were associated with an increased recurrence rate (25% at 5 years) based on analysis of historical data from GOG33.


GOG99 Inclusion Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:
- Required TAH/BSO, selective bilateral pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy with removal of any enlarged or suspicious nodes
+ Lymph node assessment was mandatory
- WBC, platelets, creatinine, bilirubin, and SGOT blood work parameters
- GOG performance status < 2
- Normal chest X-ray
- Negative peritoneal cytology
- No history of another cancer except skin (excluding melanoma)
- GOG performance status < 2
- No history of radiation therapy
